Whether your athlete is picking up a volleyball for the very first time, preparing for school tryouts, chasing an OVA rep roster spot, or you're simply looking to enjoy the game as an adult, Ascension Volleyball has a place for you.
Our Fall 2026 programming has been designed to provide opportunities for athletes of every age and stage—from fun, confidence-building Development & Play sessions to high-performance Prep for Rep and Prep for OFSAA training, along with adult volleyball-fitness +.

Development & Play
Learn essential foundational skills and improve on those that are already developing - Development & Play is our Recreational Pathway, for beginner, intermediate, and experienced (looking to get more touches/court time in) athletes who are looking for a consistent place to learn, grow, and excel. This program includes a full spectrum of drills, mini games and full games structured to support performance. Athletes will learn about proper movement patterns, warm ups, gameplay, individual and team skills, cool downs, and potential "home work/play". Â

Juniors: Development & Play

Prep for Rep
Designed for our local athletes excited to be a part of Ascension Volleyball's first rep volleyball teams. We are looking at creating a team (or more) to participate in exhibition matches and/or tournaments in the new year. We are also intending on registering within the OVA for the 2027-2028 season.

This program bridges the gap between learning the game and competing at a higher level -Â this is where athletes begin training with greater purpose, higher expectations, and a shared commitment to improving together.

Athletes will develop:

Advanced technical skills and consistency

Volleyball IQ through game situations and tactical decision-making

Position-specific movement and team systems

Volleyball athleticism, including jumping, speed, agility, balance and body control

Confidence, communication, and leadership on the court.

Prep for Rep

Age: Grades 6-9
Date: WEDNESDAYS - September 22nd - December 17th
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Location: Archie Stouffer Elementary School, Minden

(Prep for OFSAA for grades 10-12, Sept 22nd-October 28th, will be at the same time and location, $180 for 6 weeks)

ADULT VOLLEYBALL
& fitness
Whether you're returning to the sport, staying active, or looking to improve your game, this program blends quality coaching with purposeful movement to help you feel and play your best.

Each session includes:

Volleyball Skill Development & Play: Â Enjoy gentle warm up drills, game play, and plenty of touches in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Dynamic Warm-Up & Mobility: Â each session begins with movement preparation designed to improve mobility, activate key muscle groups, and help reduce common imbalances affecting our day to day lives.

Core Strength & Athletic Movement: Â Simple, effective exercises that build stability, improve movement quality, and support both athletic performance and everyday life.

Guided Cool-Down & Recovery: Â Finish each evening with a guided stretch, breathing, and relaxation session designed to reduce tension, support recovery, and leave you feeling refreshed in both body and mind.
